    about tiredness and pregnancy

My current state is "dead tired" (the tongue out types Tongue out)! After two days of cleaning and cooking (the diwali-special one), I don't feel like lifting a finger now. Sleepy Oh btw, I cooked "Shahi Paneer" for the first time and it turned out good! Open-mouthed So, in all, Monday and Tuesday were phewy weekdays. Smile

On second thoughts, I've been thinking how interesting it is to get pregnant because of all the pamper/care that you get subjected to. Angel And then, I thought about one of our maid servants (back in India) who, when carrying, used to work throughout the day, without complaining about anything, taking in all the mental abuse at work and the physical abuse at home. How about her? Did she ever get pampered? Thinking And surprisingly, people like her, even after bearing all the stress/tension and other such stuff, manage a normal delivery. I say this because I see females talking about docs telling them to rest and take no stress, especially in the initial months and the later ones. And still, after a lot of care, some end up with complications at the time of delivery. Sad

Anyway, whatever it be, I was only pondering on the various kinds of lives that females live, whilst managing a pregnancy. Hot

I've been devouring Danielle Steel's books these days and I recently read "Heartbeat". It's a story about a female whose husband doesn't want kids and divorces her when she gets pregnant with his baby. The simple details of how a woman feels, physically and mentally, about the baby to come are very touching! And then, the way another guy falls in love with her and takes care of her as if she is bearing his baby, is great! Loved this book! Open-mouthed

Let me just clarify that I'm neither carrying nor thinking about having a baby right now so don't think on those lines. Tongue out These are just thoughts, and that's it. Nerd

    they and i

there are things that they want me to prove
there are things that i want to lose
there are words that they want me to shun
there are words that i want to shoot

there are times that they want me to forget
there are times that i want to keep
there are people that they want me to stay away from
there are people that i want to meet

    arguers forever
    they and i
    till they live
    till i die

    yaawn and karwa chauth stuff

hmmmmmmmm, ummmmmmmm... i'm thinking what to write! nope, not a writer's block... it's a lazy block. Open-mouthed

dunno why i'm feeling so lazy these days - lazy and sleepy, both.. Sleepy

i celebrated my first Karwa Chauth last week. before marriage, i used to wonder what on earth makes these married ladies stay without food and water for the whole day, just to wish their husbands a great and a long life! Thinking but now, when i did it it myself, i could understand what makes one do it... and the excitement that you feel while doing it... and the happiness that you end up with when you're done with it. Smile

the best part was that i decorated my hands with Henna myself for the first time. and the better than the best part was that Nitin did it on my right hand. Hot that was really sweet and i took pride in the fact that i was the only one whose husband did it for her. AngelSmile

    phewy weekend

the last weekend was quite phewy (it's a slang i invented for something that's hectic and makes you go "phew!!")! Tongue out

on saturday, nitin studied for one of his exams (in office) and i devoured a whole book as i had nothing much to do. Sleepy finally, i got to read "angels and demons" by dan brown. it sure is better than "the da vinci code", like people used to say. Nerd

on sunday, we went to the Buckhorn Ranch with nitin's colleagues. it was a company outing. nothing great about the place and the activities - we played on the swings, took a paddle boat ride twice, rode on a train, rode on a tractor, ate, and danced - so this is why we ended up with a phewy weekend. Hot

    funny choices funny life

some funny situations put you in a funny state and make you look funny when you need to decide on some funny matters. Thinking what i'm talking about isn't funny but it's as funny as the life is. Nerd life, at times, plays games with you and puts you to test just for the fun of it. Sarcastic the funniest game is about making a choice between the only two options available - the options that are equally important to you - maybe you can prioritize them generally but in that particular situation, both have the highest priority. aw, i just hate making choices! Baring teeth i choose to remain indecisive and watch others make choices. Tongue outDon't tell anyone

    weekend story again

So we had a tiring and a flying weekend that came and went, like other weekends! Open-mouthed

On Saturday, we finally went to a library and I brought six books from there - good enough for two weeks! Smile We'd planned to go to a temple in the evening but somehow were quite late and then ended up going to the Galleria instead! Tongue out

Yesterday, we went to the "Durga Bari" (a temple in Houston) to attend the morning prayers. I loved the sounds and the hustle-bustle there - females looking their best in the colorful Saris and jewelery, kids dressed in the cutest outfits, and guys at their ethnic best! Angel I felt funny cuz' I was the least decked up (read it as not decked up at all)! Embarrassed But anyway, it was nice and soothing! I also relished the 'chaat', the 'phuchkas', and other yummy food (and, of course, the 'paan') that we got to eat!Tongue out

Oh btw, did I tell you about our new car - the Audi A6! It's cool! Angel
